こもれび
木漏れ日
"Ko - mo - re - bi"
Komorebi is a Japanese word that describes sunlight streaming through the leaves and branches of trees.
It is a simple, indescribably beautiful sight that nature gifts us with every day, if we care to look for it.
About Me
I'm a nature and scenery photographer for the most part. I enjoy taking close-up photos of things, in order to convey the significance of that which we sometimes take for granted. I also enjoy a good portrait shoot once in a while.
But most of all, I often take photos when I feel emotionally moved by something - something that's hard to place, hard to describe... I have spent at long time trying to capture, in a still photo, the feeling that something gives me in real life. To be honest, I think it's a futile effort - but it's the same journey that artists have been embarking on for centuries, and I too join their life-long struggle.
I used to have a goal of getting a big fancy camera, and might still do that someday - but for the last decade I've been rather satisfied taking photos on my Samsung Galaxy phone.
For the most part, this blog will be a simple, straightforward photo gallery with simple entries, but sometimes I may feel the need to share more.
Enjoy, and please look for the simple, indescribable pleasures in your own life.
